The season ends with three iconic contributions to the orchestral repertoire. Beethoven's Symphony No. 5 was revolutionary in its day. Its opening phrase remains the single most often heard example of symphonic music. Selections from Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake as well as those from Stravinsky's Firebird Suite cap this dramatic season finale.
